At Southmoore Baptist Church, our Adult Ministries exist to help men and women grow deeper in their walk with Christ while building meaningful relationships within the church family. We believe spiritual growth happens best in community—through shared study of God’s Word, prayer, encouragement, and fellowship. Whether you are new to the church or have been here for years, there is a place for you to connect, grow, and serve alongside others. Along with the ministries below, we also have our Park Ministry, volleyball, and more!
Adult Choir
Our Adult Choir plays an important role in leading worship and helping our church lift praise to the Lord through music. Throughout the year, the choir presents special performances and participates in seasonal services that point hearts toward Christ and celebrate His work in our lives.
The choir rehearses each Sunday morning at 8:45 AM before the worship service. These rehearsals are a time of preparation, fellowship, and spiritual focus as we get ready to lead the congregation in worship.
New choir members are always welcome. Whether you have years of experience or simply a desire to serve the Lord through music, there is a place for you in the choir. The Adult Choir is under the direction of our Worship Leader, Dennis Chastain.
Women’s (L.I.F.T. Ministry)
Our Women’s Ministry, L.I.F.T. (Ladies In Fellowship Together), is a welcoming place for women to grow in their faith and build lasting friendships. Each month, the ladies gather for an evening that includes a devotional, dinner, and a creative craft activity designed to encourage fellowship and spiritual refreshment.
L.I.F.T. meets once a month, offering women a meaningful opportunity to pause from the busyness of life, connect with one another, and be strengthened in their walk with Christ.
Men’s Ministry
Our Men’s Ministry exists to encourage and equip men to live faithfully as followers of Christ in their homes, church, and community. Through Bible study, fellowship, and honest conversation, men are strengthened in their walk with the Lord and challenged to lead with integrity and purpose.
The Men’s Ministry meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM, providing a consistent time for spiritual growth, encouragement, and connection with other men in the church.
In addition to monthly fellowship, the Men’s Ministry also includes a Men’s Work Group. This group serves the church body, local community, and fellow members by taking on various hands-on projects such as repairs, improvements, and acts of service. It is a practical way for men to use their gifts to bless others while reflecting the love of Christ through service.
Park Ministry
During the summer months, we meet at Veteran’s Park on 4th Street and Bryant. We offer free sno cones, music, and puppet shows.

Volleyball
Join us every Sunday at 6:00 pm for fun and fellowship in the gym. Even if you don’t play volleyball, come cheer on the group and fellowship with other church members!
